new member appointed to tesseract school board of trustees

PARADISE VALLEY, ARIZONA—July 20, 2010—Tesseract School announced today that Michael Zuieback, executive vice president of strategy for Discount Tire, has been appointed to serve as a member of the board of trustees for Tesseract School.

“It is an honor to be affiliated with such an outstanding, innovative school,” said Zuieback. “My wife and I couldn’t be more pleased with the education our daughter is receiving, and I am happy to be able to help the school in my new role as a member of its board.”

A graduate of the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Zuieback holds a master’s degree in international finance. Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the strategic plan for Discount Tire at the executive and board levels, Zuieback also works with the Bruce T. Halle Family Foundation in his capacity as a board member for the company. Prior to joining Discount Tire, Zuieback was the treasurer of Asia Pacific for Johnson Controls, senior manager of Foreign Exchange & International Finance for Sara Lee and a credit analyst at First America Bank.

“We are all very pleased to have Michael join us,” said Nigel Taplin, Tesseract’s head of school. “With his perspective as a parent, and his experience in finance and with Halle Family Foundation, he is a strong addition to our board and its finance committee.”
